The Beartooth All American Road two-hour drive is one of the most beautiful, scenic highways you will ever travel. You can stop in many pull-off areas to view the Hellroaring Plateau, the glistening Twin Lakes, and the rugged Beartooth Peak. If you’re into casting your pole, you can stop to fish in one of the many breathtaking high mountain lakes. Climb from Red Lodge’s 5,555 feet to over 12,000 feet while viewing incredible mountain scenery and crisp blue Montana skies.
If a mountain drive isn’t to your liking, within an hour of Red Lodge are five of the best fishing rivers in settings that leave you refreshed, rejuvenated and revitalized. There are hiking trails for every fitness level in the Custer National Forest.
